Biker Dies in Tragic Accident on National Highway-66 in Udupi

Udupi: A 25-year-old man, identified as Abhishek, a resident of Matapady, Brahmavar, was killed in a fatal road accident on Friday morning on National Highway-66 near Uppoor K.G. Road. The accident occurred when the motorcycle he was riding was struck by a truck, resulting in his immediate death.

The impact of the collision was severe, causing catastrophic injuries to the victim. According to reports from the scene, Abhishek’s body was severely mutilated, with the torso reportedly severed and trapped beneath the wheels of the truck.

Local authorities responded swiftly to the scene. Mahalinga, Head Constable of Brahmavar Police Station, conducted the spot mahazar, a preliminary investigation, and initiated necessary legal procedures. Social worker Nityananda Olkadu and a Brahmavar ambulance driver provided assistance in recovering and transporting the deceased.

The body of the victim has been transferred to the mortuary at Ajjarkad District Hospital for post-mortem examination. The Brahmavar Police Station is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
