What Is Autism?

Autism, or autism spectrum disorder, refers to a range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication, as well as by unique strengths and differences. We now know that there is not one autism but many types, caused by different combinations of genetic and environmental influences.

The term “spectrum” reflects the wide variation in challenges and strengths possessed by each person with autism.

Autism’s most-obvious signs tend to appear between 2 and 3 years of age. In some cases, it can be diagnosed as early as 18 months. Some developmental delays associated with autism can be identified and addressed even earlier. Autism Speaks urges parents with concerns to seek evaluation without delay, as early intervention can improve the outcome.

  1. Any kind of good deeds performed by the Catholics all over India grabs the quick attention from the public because Catholics all over India give back a great deal to the public in the way of Education, Charitable gestures relating to Medical services and any other kind of worthy causes relating to so many noble causes.

The Missionaries that came to India nearly two hundred years ago have come to India with a bag of noble causes by reaching out tens of thousands of needy people towards so many deserving services.

May God take care of all the Catholics in India who are giving so much back to our communities and helping people of all cultures and religions in whichever way possible. This is what Christianity is all about, especially in countries such as India where we have abundance of needy people who deserve the very best from others.
