BJP pays tribute to soldiers killed in Uri attack

Udupi: Condemning the ‘Uri Attack’, in which 18 soldiers lost their lives and several others were injured, members of the Bharatiya Janata Party held a candlelight condolence meet at the Clock Tower on September 21.

Former MLA Raghupathi Bhat termed the act as “A cowardly terror attack” and paid tribute to the departed souls. He welcomed the support from foreign countries for expressing solidarity with India.
The BJP members observed a two-minute silence in honour of the departed soldiers.

Dinakar Babu (president ZP), Sheela K Shetty (vice-president ZP), Shreesha Nayak (President BJP Yuva Morcha) Githanjali Suvarna (member ZP), Yashpal Suvarna (president DK and Udupi fish sellers’ federation), Prathap Shetty, Akshith Shetty, Nayana Ganesh and others were present.
