BJP Planning to Create Violence during Assembly Elections in State on Amit Shah’s Advice – Madhwaraj

Udupi: Udupi district minister in-charge Pramod Madhwaraj on Friday alleged that the BJP is planning to create violence in the state during the Upcoming assembly elections as per the direction of BJP national president Amith Shah.

Speaking to the mediapersons in Udupi, Madhwaraj said that the Union minister Ananth Kumar Hegde posted a controversial post in the social media that the Mundaithe Mari Habba clearly shows that Hegde has planned to create violence in the state.

Further the minister said that recently Mysuru MP Prathap Simha had released a video which has gone viral. In the video, Simha purportedly talks about the directions from party president Amit Shah to stage agitations with such intensity as to draw lathi charge and tear gas shelling by the police. Ananth Kumar Hegde being the Union minister should have some sense while giving statements. Some leaders of the BJP state unit are following their party president Amit Shah and trying to cause communal discord in Karnataka with hopes of getting electoral benefits. People are watching BJP’s every move and will teach them a proper lesson in the coming Assembly elections.

When questioned on senior Congress leader C K Jaffer Sharief’s statement that Siddaramaiah and Parameshwar’s separate tours were unnecessary, Pramod said that Sharief is a aged person, it is common in every party that the aged persons always comment as they like and other senior leaders have to convince them.

The Congress will carry out two yatras, one headed by the chief minister and the other by Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) chief G Parameshwar. There is no difference of opinion with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and KPCC chief G Parameshwar, he added.
