‘Love 4 Paws Charitable Trust’ needs Your Support to Build Animal Shelter for Stray Puppies and Kittens

Mangaluru: Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Mangalore Press Club, Ms Usha Tharnath- Trustee of ‘Love 4 Paws’ said ” Seasons Greetings from LOVE 4 PAWS CHARITABLE TRUST®- Today we observe a number of organizations helping, assisting, protecting, sheltering stray helpless animals, everywhere in the world. Most of us know in Mangaluru, a couple of organizations have been involved in this pious job of rescuing and caring for strays for many years. Inspired by their good work, we too have decided to do something, for these stray animals, whom we find them on the streets, marketplaces, bus stands, without food, water, lying helplessly looking at the people expecting some humanity towards them. This is the reason, we are assembled here with a hope, that you all will help us, and join us to convert our dream to have an animal shelter into reality”.

She further said, “We have already formed a Trust in the above name. Friends we all know it is extremely a difficult task. But we are determined to move further and our main goal is to give our valued time, energy and attention to these helpless animals. We appeal to you all to help us in our noble work towards the helpless animals. The basic teachings of all the religions are non-violence towards innocent creatures, and every creature has the right, to live on this earth. Let us accept this truth and share it with everyone”.

Also speaking during the press meet, Trustee Francis Saldanha said, “Once our animal shelter is ready we have planned to arrange the facilities like- to provide maximum care and support to the helpless animals, specially puppies and kittens ; a small but decent cage like shelter to Puppies & Kittens; Small Clinic for sick animals; A Kitchen and Water Facility; Arrangement of Accommodation for employees; A small Office; and also a Second Hand Vehicle to transport the strays. If received public support, we are confident, this project will surely come up and start functioning as planned. We have already planned to approach all the like-minded Institutions, organizations, individuals and few of them have already promised to extend their helping hand”.

“Hence, dear friends, as a beginning, also as our First step towards this dream project, we have arranged a ‘FOUNDATION STONE LAYING CEREMONY’ on December 24, 2018, Monday at 10.00 a.m. at Nalku Bettu, Near Om Shakti Friends Club, (on the way from Neermarga to Merlapadav). We cordially invite you all to join us to extend your moral support and help. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in advance” added Saldanha.

Active members of the Trust-Ms Gajalaxmi Bangera and Ms Veena were also present during the press meet. Love 4 Paws has yet another Trustee, Ms Shaila Saldanha Kamath, a teacher by profession.
