Boy Missing After Drowning at Panambur Beach

Mangaluru: A 14-year-old boy went missing after being swept away by strong waves while playing in the sea with his friends at Panambur Beach on Monday, October 5.

The missing boy has been identified as Shreyas, son of Sesappa of Renkeda Guttu in Kasaba village, Belthangady taluk.

Shreyas had visited Panambur Beach with five friends. While they were playing in the sea, he was reportedly caught in strong waves and swept away.

Following the incident, Shreyas’s father lodged a complaint at the Panambur Police Station after learning about the incident from his son’s friends.

The police have registered a case and launched a search operation to trace the missing boy.
