Carmel Kiran Media Conducts Hands-on AI Media Workshop at Bikarnakatte
Mangaluru: From creating digital designs and AI-generated music to producing videos and live-streaming on YouTube, 25 participants explored the practical applications of artificial intelligence at a two-day AI-enabled media workshop organised by Carmel Kiran Media at the Infant Jesus Shrine, Bikarnakatte, Mangaluru.

The workshop brought together teachers, students and media professionals for hands-on training in social media content creation, personal branding, mobile photography, videography and AI-powered applications.
Fr. Jocy Siddakatte, a journalist and writer, spoke about strategies for creating engaging social media content and building a personal brand. Fr. Kiran Lobo, a web developer, demonstrated smartphone photography and videography techniques, while Vijay D’Souza of VL Media trained participants in live-streaming on YouTube.
Leo Victor, an AI expert, introduced participants to prompt engineering and demonstrated tools such as Canva, Flow AI, NotebookLM, Suno, Google Music, InVideo Studio, and YouTube Create for designing visuals, generating music, and producing digital content.
Hands-on practice was a key highlight of the workshop. Participants were given ample time to experiment with the applications and create content themselves, moving beyond demonstrations to practical application. Digital gifts and tools worth approximately ₹1 lakh further enhanced the learning experience.
The initiative by Carmel Kiran Media, the media wing of the Infant Jesus Shrine, aims to promote the creative, effective, and responsible use of emerging technologies in communication and education.
