CCB Police Arrest 6 Persons Plotting to Kill Man at Tannirbavi
Mangaluru: “The CCB police have arrested 6 persons in connection with dacoity and plot to murder case near Tannirbavi beach”, said the DCP Law and order Shantharaju in a press meet held at the commissioner’s office here on February 19.
The arrested have been identified as Safwan Hussain alias Suhain alias Subhash (33) from Surathkal, Mohammed Faizal Ibrahim Sheik (33), from Krishnapura, Abdul Nasir alias Don Nasir (34) Yemmekere, Samshuddin (27) from Surathkal, Ummer Farooq alias Mana Farooq (25), Halekote Ullal and Mohammed Ansar (30) from Ullal.
On getting information from reliable sources that 6 persons in a Swift car and an autorickshaw were plotting to kill a person.
The CCB police in a swift action arrested all the six persons and seized 2 pistols, 7 live bullets, 2 knives, 3 mobile phones, Maruti Swift car and an autorickshaw from their possession.
Accused Safwan Hussain is involved in various crimes and 23 cases of assault on police on duty, murder, attempt to murder and Dacoity have been registered against him. He was arrested under goonda act and released on Bail two months ago.
Mohammed Faizal Ibrahim Sheikh was also involved in various crimes and 8 cases of attempt to murder, dacoity, fighting in jail have been registered against him. He was released on bail recently.
Samshuddin was released on bail 8 months ago. He was involved in murder, attempt to murder, kidnap and fighting in jail and 8 cases have been registered against him. Abdul Nasir alias Don Nasir was involved in communal violence, murder, attempt to murder and kidnap and 9 cases have been registered against him.
Ummer Farooq is also involved in various crimes and three cases of murder, attempt to murder and dacoity have been registered against him. All the accused have been handed over to the Panambur police for further investigations.
Under the able guidance of Police commissioner Chandra Sekhar, DCP Law and order Shantharaju, DCP Crime and traffic Dr Sanjeev Patil, the operation was carried out by CCB Inspector Sunil Y Nayak, Sub Inspector Shyam Sundar, staff Rama Poojary, Sheenappa, Ganesh, Chandrahas Sanil, Chandra Shekhar, Chandra, Yogish, Sunil, Prashanth Shetty, Rajendra Prasad, Damodar, Mani, Abdul Jabbar, Sudheer Shetty, Isaac, Ashith, Vishal D’Souza and Tejakumar.
DCP Crime and traffic Dr Sanjeev Patil was also present.
Such hard core criminals are roaming around freely
although having previoul records for felony and arrested
under the Indian Goonda Act – whatever that really
translates!
If these goons are arrested for dacoity, attempted murder,
and murder, then why are they not done to death by the law?
What is the benefit of trying them out and feeding them in the
jail, and letting them out on bail, etc.
If it was Mumbai, these guys wouldn’t have seen the
daylight after only one of their crimes, with good super
cops like Riberio and Dayanand, leave alone having a
record for crimes in Mangalore.
