Los Angeles, Feb 26 (IANS) Supermodel Chrissy Teigen has slammed people who are “reaching for outrage” over her In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) confession.

On Wednesday morning, the supermodel revealed that she picked the sex of her upcoming child during IVF.

“I’ve made this decision,” she said. “Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, ‘Let’s put in the girl’.”

While she found herself defending her choice and even joked that she also “picked the embryo with a taste of bacon”, she was getting fired up with some of the comments made on social media, reports eonline.com.

“What happens if your kid decides ‘she’ wants to identify as ‘he’?” one follower asked. “Why is picking gender important unless you hope to enforce it?”

Never one to hold back, she replied with very little filter. “What in the…she can do whatever she wants,” she explained.

“People really reaching for outrage here.”

She continued: “Mentions. In. shambles. Lol. ‘what…what…what if….your girl wants to…be……chem trails…..and cis….and….vegan…and….other buzzwords…’ stop looking here for s–t to be mad at. There are so many other things that deserve your outrage.”

Ultimately, she found all of the comments and dialogue “interesting” and something she didn’t exactly see coming.

Terry Crews had therapy for porn addiction

“The Expendables” actor Terry Crews says he developed an addiction to porn and had to get therapy to beat his problem.

In a series of emotional video posts, which he shared on his Facebook account, he said that he was obsessed with watching X-rated clips online, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

The 47-year-old now wants to warn others about the dangers of pornography on the internet.

“I have been getting a lot, a lot of messages and well wishes from people out there. It really, really messed up my life in a lot of ways. If day turns into night and you are still watching (porn), you probably got a problem. And that was me… now it’s become my battle to help other people who are going through the same thing,” he said.

Crews revealed his porn fixation initially began at the age of just 12, and it wasn’t until “six or seven years ago” that he finally dealt with it.

Chris Rock wasn’t first choice to host Oscars?

Actor-comedian Chris Rock has claimed he’s only hosting this year’s Academy Awards because Ellen DeGeneres turned it down.

The comedian, who has been caught up in the controversial Oscars race row about a lack of diversity at the ceremony, has said the talk show host was actually the first choice, reports mirror.co.uk.

He said: “I told my agent I wanted to present because it’s like, what’s easier and better than presenting? You come in, do something really funny and get out of there.

“I’m only here because Ellen said no. And I’m sure she said no like eight times.

“She did so good last time she hosted the show, that’s the standard.”

Neil Patrick Harris was in charge last year, while DeGeneres’s famous stint came in 2014 – memorable for a number of reasons, including the superstar selfie.

Geri Halliwell hopes for Spice Girls reunion

Singer Geri Halliwell says she and her former bandmate Mel B have been discussing to have a Spice Girls reunion. They think it definitely has to happen to celebrate the band’s 20th anniversary this year.

“There was a conversation this morning with Mel B and we were both saying there has to be something. I’d like something to happen,” Halliwell told TV show “Lorraine”.

Mel B previously said she too hopes all five girls will come together and perform on stage, but she doesn’t want to “jinx it” as they are only “in talks” about it.

Emma Watson’s hate story with eyebrows

Actress Emma Watson has admitted that she used to hate her ‘strong eyebrows’, adding that she learnt to embrace her insecurities gradually.

The 25-year-old opened up about her struggle with insecurities on Wednesday as she interviewed feminist Gloria Steinem at Emmanuel Centre here, reports dailymail.co.uk.

“I used to hate that I had strong eyebrows. As a nine-year-old I desperately wanted to pluck them and make them two thin lines,” Watson said.

“The Perks of Being a Wallflower” star added that “you come to embrace these things. My mother desperately tried to tell me that they gave my face character, don’t be ashamed”.

Watson also reflected on her breakthrough appearance playing Hermione Granger in the “Harry Potter” films as she interviewed Steinem, who has published her book “My Life On The Road”, for a special event held by the How To Academy.

She said: “I feel as though I spent a long time trying to pretend I was not like Hermione. And, of course, I was rather like Hermione. I’ve finally come to accept the fact.”
