CM has done Justice with Fishermen Forming Ambiga Chowdayya Development Board – Bava
Mangaluru: “The present budget which was presented by the Chief minister has done justice with the fishermen”, said the MLA of Mangalore North Constituency Moideen Bava in a press meet held at his chamber, MCC premises here on march 16.
Addressing the mediapersons Bava said, “In the last budget CM Siddaramaiah has given subsidy for Kerosene and Diesel to the fishermen. In the present budget for the welfare of the Mogaveers and fishermen, Ambiga Chowdayya Development board has been formed. The board will look after the welfare of the fishermen.”
He further said, “To start self-employment for the NRI returnees an NRI forum has been formed. For the extention of the Mangaluru international airport runway, measures have been taken. To extend the runway for another 100 meters we will acquire the Adyapadi and surrounding area for the Airport authority. The chief minister has given the green signal for the extension of the runway and the work will start soon.”
Bava also said, “For the Haj pilgrimage there is no proper centre. When Prakash was the DC, under the order of the CM, to build the Haj Bhavan Rs 1 crore was sanctioned but the work has still not started. Now the CM has sanctioned Rs 10 crore to the Haj Bhavan”.
