CM, Ministers Receive Traditional Poornakumbha Welcome at Praja Soudha
Mangaluru: Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and members of his Cabinet received a traditional coastal Karnataka Poornakumbha welcome upon their arrival at Praja Soudha in Padil, Mangaluru, for the State Cabinet meeting.
Before the Cabinet meeting, Shivakumar and his ministerial colleagues visited the historic Kadri Manjunath Temple and offered special prayers. They later travelled in an Airavat bus to the Kadri War Memorial, where they paid their respects.
From there, the Chief Minister and ministers arrived at Pumpwell and proceeded in an open-top double-decker bus in a procession from Pumpwell to Praja Soudha in Padil. Members of the public gathered along the route to welcome them.
At the entrance to Praja Soudha, the Chief Minister and ministers were accorded a traditional welcome featuring the famous Kalladka folk puppet display and Poornakumbha.
After entering the Praja Soudha premises, Shivakumar and the ministers planted saplings, conveying an environmental conservation message.
The Chief Minister and Cabinet members later posed for a group photograph near the flagpole in front of Praja Soudha, marking the occasion as a memorable moment.
