Congress Govt has No Vision, No Mission, All commission – Sambit Patra

Udupi: BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra on Friday, April 27, said that the Congress president Rahul Gandhi will have to answer why the Congress government in Karnataka was apathetic towards farmers.

Addressing the press meet at the BJP office, Sambit Patra said, “The epicentre of farmer suicides was in Karnataka during the Congress rule. As many as 3,781 farmers ended their lives during the past four-and-a-half years. The Congress government led by Siddaramaiah used lathis against the farmers who were protesting in Bengaluru sometime ago. Will Rahul Gandhi apologise for the action?” he questioned.

Speaking about the Congress Manifesto Sambit said, “The Congress president Rahul Gandhi released the Karnataka manifesto on Friday 27 in Mangaluru, it is totally an anti-people manifesto. The manifesto has no vision, no mission but only commission. In 2013 the Congress party had made various promises to the voters but the Siddaramaiah government fulfilled 5 percent of the promises the remaining 95 percent of promises are only dreams for the voters”.

Accusing the Congress Government led by Siddaramaiah, Sambit said, “The Congress government led by Siddaramaiah is the “most corrupt” in the country and pursuing “appeasement politics. One after another of the ministers are caught in corruption scandals. Be it in the steel flyover in Bengaluru, making the Lokayukta powerless or even transfer of the officials, there is corruption. There has been no development in Karnataka in the past five years.

During the release of the Congress, Manifesto Rahul said it is totally Mann Ki Baat manifesto but it is Narendra Modi’s slogan how did Rahul copy the BJP slogan for the Congress manifesto? Siddaramaiah says he has a lot of achievements under his government but Rahul was silent about the Congress achievements. Rahul Gandhi has no vision and his party has never worked for the welfare of the people”.

Sambit also said, “Only one party is confident to win in Karnataka and that is the BJP. The BJP will win because Karnataka wants development which is possible only by the Narendra Modi government.”

District BJP president Mattar Rathnakar Hegde, state BJP spokesperson Anvar Manippadi, Yashpal Suvarna, Uday Kumar Shetty and others were present.
