Congress-JDS led State Government Targeting Opposition Leaders – MP Shobha Karandlaje

Udupi: The Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje said, “The Congress-JDS led state government is targeting opposition leaders in order to cover their failure in the development work of the state.”

She was speaking to media persons at her office in Manipal on Friday, November 16, “Chief Minister Kumaraswamy led state government is not doing any development work. By arresting Janardhan Reddy the government is targeting the opposition party leaders. Reddy is fighting in the court for justice and the government should answer for such type of hate politics. We are not defending Mining baron Janardhan Reddy. But the State government has played hate politics with him.”

“Chief Minister Kumaraswamy had announced the loan waiver for farmers but until now it has not been implemented. The farmers are constantly committing suicide in the state. The state government is dead for people of Karnataka,” she said.

“The people of the country have long been expecting the Ram Temple to be built in Ayodhya. We all hope that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will do something by taking a firm decision in this regard. The Rashtriya Sawayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will organize the Janagrah rally at three locations, including Ayodhya to appeal to the people to support the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The Supreme Court should not slow down the Ram Mandir. The Supreme Court should respond to the feeling of Hindus,” she said.

Responding to the query about the change in state BJP presidentship Shobha said “This matter is far from the truth. No such discussions were held during the RSS meeting in Mangaluru. Those are just rumours made by some vested interests. The preparations for the Upcoming Lok Sabha elections are underway in the state, in between no such discussions of changing the BJP president have been held,” she said.

On the entry for women in Sabarimala, Shobha said “today many people have started to insult the Hindu religion in one or the other way in the country. The Supreme Court should understand the feelings of Ayyappa devotees. It should allow the devotees, Pandala royal family and priests to take decisions in regard to the Temple matters. As per the information, today morning the women’s rights activist Trupti Desai has reached the Cochin International Airport in Kerala at 4:40 am to visit the Sabarimala temple. She has not come as a devotee of Sabarimala, she has come only for publicity,” Shobha said.
