Congress joined hands with Anti-nationalists – Muralidhar Rao

Udupi: The BJP National general secretary and Karnataka state election in-charge Muralidhar Rao alleged that Congress party is joined hands with anti-nationalists which is a biggest threat to the nationalism.

He was addressing the gathering during the Janasuraksha yatra organized by the BJP in Udupi on Sunday. He said that Congress is supporting terror groups like SDPI, PFI and involved in politics of divide and rule. In the last 5 years of Congress rule in Karnataka many Hindu youths were killed. As many as 24 BJP and RSS workers have been murdered in Karnataka, he said.

Chief minister Siddaramaiah is not only corrupted but also acting like a Don. The Bharatiya Janata party is spreading its roots across the country. The electorate in Karnataka will teach the Congress government a lesson in the coming elections for the deteriorating law and order, especially the murder of several BJP workers over the past few months, he added.

Since the Congress came to power in 2013, Bengaluru has turned into a garbage city, a crime city and a rape city from what it was known for greenery, salubrious climate and IT prowess. The city’s infrastructure is ruined due to corruption and scams. The Congress has made the city “hell” to live in with no proper garbage and pollution management, he alleged.

Former Chief Minister K S Eshwarappa said, “In Karnataka state the murderers and Goonda’s political party is running the administration. All Muslims are not anti-nationalists but the Congress is trying to save anti-nationalist Muslims in the state. The Siddaramaiah government is against Hindus, offering as proof the allegations that it had withdrawn all cases against the controversial SDPI (Social Democratic Party of India). The Congress government is resorting to vote-bank politics, but the BJP government will ensure that the killers of BJP and RSS workers are brought to book”.

“CM Siddaramaiah is pursuing anti-Hindu policy. He has tried to take over Hindu temples but he failed in his attempt because of the protest by the Swamijis and BJP. If Siddaramaiah has the guts let he take over the Masjids and Dargahs”, he challenged.

Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje said, “Chief minister Siddaramaiah visited Udupi 5-6 times but he did not visit Sri Krishna Temple. Now Rahul Gandhi has started his Temple visit, he will visit the Udupi temple this month. We should oppose if Siddaramaiah visits Sri Krishna Temple with Rahul”.

The Supreme Court had, in 2014, directed the government to appoint Hindu priests as per the recommendation of the commissioner of Muzrai department. The government had assured the court that it would do so after holding talks with all stakeholders. But the Congress government chose not to appoint the priests in order to appease the minorities. We will launch a stir against the government if it fails to appoint a Hindu priest at the controversial cave shrine of Bababudangiri, she added.

Former MLA Raghupathi Bhat, Udupi district BJP Chief Mattar Rathnakar Hegde, MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary, former MP Jayaprakash Hegde, ZP president Dinakar Babu, BJP leaders Uday Kumar Shetty, Yashpal Suvarna and others were present.

On Monday morning Union minister Maneka Gandhi had flagged off the Jan Suraksha Yatra at Bydnoor.

Speaking on the occasion she had said, “Many Sangh Parivar activists were killed in the State in the last four-and-a-half years. Earlier such political murders used to take place in Kerala. Now they are taking place in Karnataka. The State government had failed to provide protection to the people in the State. When BJP government comes to power here we will ensure the protection of all the people”.
