How about a ‘Cowfie’? Click a Selfie with a Cow, Enter the Contest/Win Prizes
Mangaluru: On the eve of Diwali, the members Hindu Jagarana Vedike Kadeshivalaya and Sri Rama Bhajana Mandira have jointly organised a unique competition named ‘Selfie with Gau Mata’. And your selfie with the cow getting many “LIKES” on the social media you could win cash awards-provided the selfie has to exclusively with a Cow. the selfie has to be with a cow.
Speaking to Team Mangalorean, Convener of HJV Kadeshivalaya Shruthin Shetty said, “Our aim in organizing this competition is to foster love towards cows among the youth. These days we see youths have lost touch with Indian traditions and culture of which the cow is an integral part. Youth are getting attracted to Western Culture and tradition, thereby not giving more interests to Indian culture and tradition. So at least by organizing this competition, we hope the youth will close encounters with the cow, touch the cattle at least once and start loving the animal. Even though the competition is targeted at the youth, others also can take part. The event is also aimed at promoting harmony among people of all faiths, since the competition is open to all.”
The last date to send the photos is October 20, 2017. Winners would be chosen the same evening at a programme to be held at Sri Rama Bhajana Mandira in Gadiyara, Mani. Winners will be awarded cash prizes. A hamper of Patanjali products will also be awarded to promote the Make in India campaign. Contestants have required to WhatsApp the photos to 9686694300.

This is just another ‘stunt’ by clueless, hypocritical Hindus who live in denial. If you really love and care about animals, please stop using animal products. Stop or cut down on your dairy products. Milk, majjige, benne, tuppa, ice cream, ksheera abhisheka at local temples – please stop this or bring down your consumption. The biggest force behind today’s massive beef market is exploding business of dairy products. Where do you think all the cows that you are taking selfie with end up once they become old and stop giving milk? Wake up people, see the reality and take action to reduce suffering of these animals.
