David D’Souza Shootout Case: Two More Arrested for Assisting in Money Transfer for Crime

David D’Souza Shootout Case: Two More Arrested for Assisting in Money Transfer for Crime

Udupi: Police have arrested two more accused in connection with the shootout case involving former Mudrady Gram Panchayat president and contractor David D’Souza.

The arrested accused are Chirag Poojary (26) and Mohammed Irshad (43), residents of the area near Ermal Tenka Panchayat Office.

Police had earlier arrested three accused in connection with the case. During further investigation, police found that Chirag Poojary and Mohammed Irshad allegedly assisted in transferring money to facilitate the crime.

Based on the investigation findings, police arrested both accused on August 12. With their arrest, the total number of people arrested in connection with the case has risen to five.
