Detention of domestic arrival passenger for carrying 500 gms of hydroponic ganja by CISF ASG Mangalore later handed over to Bajpe PS
Mangalore: On 13.10.2025, an information was received from valuable sources that a domestic arrival passenger, Mr. Shankar Narayan Poddar(Passport No.AG 430883 Nationality: Indian), arrived from Mumbai by Indigo flight no. 6E-841(ETA:18.10hrs on 13.10.2025)may be in possession of narcotics substances.
On the basis of information, upon arrival, the passenger was detained by the CIW team CISF along with Shift IC,GO IC.On further enquiry of the passenger, approximately 512 gms of hydroponic ganja was found in the checked-in baggage of the said passenger.
Accordingly the information was passed to NCB Bangalore and local police.Further, the passenger along with the seized substance(about 500 gms hydroponic cannabis) was handed over to Bajpe PS for further legal action.
