Employees of Allahabad Bank Udupi misuse customers gold Ornaments

Udupi: The Town police registered a cheating case against the employees of Allahabad Bank Udupi branch on Monday, March 28. Bimal Krishnan Manager of the bank filed the complaint.

In the Complaint Bimal Krishnan has stated that the bank staff K H Pai, Debprasad, Satish Shettigar, Bhaskar and Sharath Kumar misused gold ornaments of customers who had pledged them for a loan.

The incident came to light when Shobha K, a customer went to the bank to clear her 58.56 grams gold and found it to be missing. When bank manager questioned the bank employees, gold ornaments belonging to Taj Mohammed Kaup (43.10 gm – Rs 78000), Krishnan (69 grams – Rs 1,20,000), Prathiba S Rao Thenakapete (115.80 grams – 2,00,000), Shakuntala Thenkanidiyoor (24.2 grams – Rs 44,000), Shridhar Rao Thenkapete (119 grams – Rs 2,00,000) were also found missing.

A case has been registered in Town Police Station and investigation is on.
