Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital to Host EVIDENCIA 2026 Workshop on Multicentric Homoeopathic Research

Mangaluru: Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, which has completed 40 years of distinguished service, has launched its Ruby Jubilee Multicentric Research Initiative as part of the institution’s Ruby Jubilee celebrations. The initiative was formally introduced during the Dr. M. L. Dhawale Memorial Oration, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s continued commitment to academic excellence and scientific advancement in homoeopathy.

As a further step in strengthening this initiative, the institution will organize EVIDENCIA 2026, a workshop dedicated to promoting evidence-based homoeopathic research, on 14 June 2026 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the A.V. Hall, Knowledge Centre, Father Muller Charitable Institutions, Kankanady, Mangaluru. The programme is being conducted in association with the Indian Homoeopathic Medical Association (IHMA), Mangaluru Chapter, and the Father Muller Research Centre (FMRC).

The workshop will be inaugurated by Dr. Sanjeeva Rai, former Dean of Father Muller Medical College and the first Chief of Research at Father Muller Research Centre, who will attend as the Chief Guest. The session will be presided over by Rev. Fr. Faustine Lucas Lobo, Director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions.

The workshop will feature distinguished resource persons, including Dr. Shivashankar, Principal, Father Muller College of Allied Health Sciences; Dr. Sudheer Prabhu, Professor and Head, Department of Community Medicine; and Dr. Skandan S. Kumar, Associate Professor, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College, Mangaluru.

The principal aim of EVIDENCIA 2026 is to equip private homoeopathic practitioners with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to engage actively in research and to systematically document their clinical experiences. Through collaborative multicentric studies, the Ruby Jubilee Research Initiative seeks to generate high-quality scientific evidence that can contribute significantly to the growth and recognition of homoeopathic research.

The workshop will offer practical sessions on research methodology, study design, data collection, analysis, and scientific publication, enabling practitioners to convert clinical observations into meaningful research outcomes. Organisers believe that this initiative will help bridge the gap between practice and research while encouraging a stronger culture of evidence-based decision-making within the homoeopathic profession.

EVIDENCIA 2026 also stands as a reflection of Father Muller Charitable Institutions’ enduring commitment to promoting evidence-based homoeopathic practice and nurturing a robust research environment. By bringing together practitioners, academicians, and researchers, the workshop aims to foster collaboration and inspire a shared vision for scientific progress in the field.

AYUSH practitioners, researchers, academicians, and all stakeholders have been encouraged to register and participate actively in this important initiative. The organisers emphasise that collective involvement will play a vital role in advancing scientific evidence in homoeopathy and in shaping a landmark movement for multicentric research in the discipline.
