Former Minister Pramod Madhwaraj Urges Govt to set up Labs in Coastal district to test COVID-19

Udupi: Former state minister Pramod Madhwaraj has urged the state government to set up labs in the coastal districts to conducting tests for COVID-19.

In his recent tweet, Pramod Madhwaraj said, “Just now I spoke to the District Surgeon Udupi and came to know that there are no labs in Udupi and Mangaluru to test for Covid – 19, the nearest lab is in Shivamogga. I urge the govt to open up labs in coastal Karnataka as early as possible”.

Recently the Karnataka Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar had informed that new labs will be opened to test the COVID – 19 suspected cases in the state.
