Four Arrested in 70-year-old Palliabba Murder Case
Mangaluru: The Konaje police have succeeded in cracking the death mystery of 70-year-old Palliabba who was missing since October 29.
The arrested have been identified as Hamza (44) from Malar Pavoor, Ameer alias Ammi (26) and Arfaz (20) from Sajipanadu and Mohammed Azaruddin (27) from Malar Pavoor.
According to sources, from October 29 evening at around 7:30 pm, Palliabba had gone out on Azar’s autorickshaw and was missing since then. In this connection, a case was filed by Palliabba’s brother Abdul Majid. The accused had kidnapped Palliabba and taken him to Kanchinadka when they killed him and buried his body in Ira, Bantwal. On November 1, the body was found at the spot in Ira where he was buried.
The Konaje police, while intensifying their search for the accused, succeeded in arresting four of them. The search is on for another accused. All the four accused have been produced before the court.
Under the direction of Police Commissioner Vikas Kumar and the guidance of DCP Law and Order Arunagshugiri, DCP Crime and Traffic Vinay Goankar, and ACP Mangaluru South Sub-division Ranjith Kumar Bandaru, the operation was carried out by the Konaje police Inspector Madhusudan, PSI Yogishwaran, PSI Sharanappa Bhandary, PSI Mallikarjuna Biradar, Ashok, Vincent, Ramesh, Anil, Purushotham, Shivakumar, Manjunath Chowtagi, Mohammed Iqbal, Mahesh, Mohammed Sheriff and Dayanand.
