Four Dead in Tragic Road Accident Near Madikeri

Madikeri: A devastating road accident involving a lorry and a car has claimed the lives of four individuals in Koyanadu, near Sampaje, on the Mani-Mysore National Highway. The incident occurred on the afternoon of July 25.

The deceased have been identified as Nihad, Rizwan, Rakhib, and Rishu, all occupants of the car. Two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene of the collision. The other two succumbed to their injuries while en route to a medical facility.

Preliminary reports indicate that the four young men, hailing from Gonikoppa and Hunsur, had traveled to Ullal in the Dakshina Kannada district on Thursday. They were returning from this trip when the accident transpired. The car was reportedly struck by a lorry traveling from Madikeri towards Sullia.

The Madikeri Rural Police visited the spot for investigation. Authorities have cleared the wreckage from the highway. A formal case has been registered in connection with the incident.
