Gas Tanker Rolls Over after Crushing Bike Rider to Death
Puttur: In a horrific road accident, a bike rider was crushed to death by a gas tanker which later rolled over at Nelyadi here on November 23.
The deceased has been identified as Jagadish from Kadembila, Konalu. Jagadish was a tailor by profession.
According to primary reports, Jagadish was on his way home on his bike. When he reached near Arla, a gas tanker plying from Mangaluru to Bengaluru, hit Jagadish’s bike. Jagadish was thrown to the road and run over by the tanker, which later rolled over.
The traffic has been restricted in this area for safety purpose. The local police have reached the spot and are investigating.
