ICAI Udupi to hold National convention for CA students on 13 and 14 January

ICAI Udupi to hold National convention for CA students on 13 and 14 January

Udupi: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India Udupi branch will conduct a two-day “CA Students National Convention” at the Town Hall here on January 13 and 14 said Ganesh B Kanchan chairman of ICAI Udupi Branch and the Coordinator of the Convention.

Speaking at a press meet held at the press club on January 5, he said that more than 1,000 students are expected to participate. They will present papers on Direct taxes, GST, Auditing and accounting, Information and Technology. Apart from professional topics, motivational sessions will be held. CA Madhukar N Hiregange (Central council Member ICA), M P Vijaya Kumar, CA Ananthanarayana Pai K, Sridhar Kamath M, Cotha S Srinivas, Chandrakanth Rao will conduct motivational sessions on various topics.

Madhukar N Hiregange (Central council Member ICA) will speak on How to be a successful CA, While M P Vijaya Kumar will deliver a talk on startup companies in India – way forward for entrepreneurship. Recent development in Labour laws. CA Ananthanarayana Pai K will speak on Reporting on Internal Financial controls system in case of Companies and IND AS – as applicable to Small and medium enterprises. Sridhar Kamath M will speak on Money Laundering, taxation and capital V/S revenue Expenditure. Cota Srinivas vice chairman of SIRC of ICAI will speak on the Cashless transaction – role of Information and Technology and Cyber frauds. The convention is focused on equipping the students with skills and developing their knowledge.

Pramod Madhwaraj district minister in-charge of Udupi district will be inaugurating the programm. While Babu Abraham Kallivayali, Chairman BIS, ICAI, M Devraja Reddy President ICAI, Vijay Kumar Phalaguna Kumar, and others will be the guests.

ICAI Udupi Branch secretary Rekha Devanand, treasurer Mahindra Shenoy, Student council president Narashimma Nayak and member Pradeep Jogi were present in the press meet.
