ICYM Manipal Holds Inter-Parish Badminton Tournament
Manipal: The Indian Catholic Youth Movement Manipal Unit organized Inter-parish Badminton tournament at the Church ground, Manipal on Sunday, May 27.
The inaugural program began with the prayer song by ICYM office bearers.
Christ Church Manipal Parish priest Fr Fredrick D’Souza wished all the participants good luck and declared the tournament open.
The chief guest of the function Youth Leader and NSUI Udupi district president Christan Almeida congratulated the ICYM unit for organizing such a tournament to encourage the youth to play on the ground instead of playing on the mobile phones. Christan also shared an inspiring story of a Hungarian Pistol Shooter Karoly and asked the youth to focus on what they have and not what they don’t have.
ICYM unit president Karan Philip delivered the vote of thanks, Mylene D’Souza compered the programme.
Parish Council vice president Mary Shresta, Fr James, Animator Siona and others were present.
