ISKCON Holds Annual Sri Krishna Balarama Ratha Yatra

Mangaluru: The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) Mangalore Unit Organised their 14th Annual Sri Krishna Balarama Ratha Yatra festival on 18 February 2017 at the Hotel Navarathna Premises K S Rao Road.

 

President of ISKCON Bengaluru and Chairman of the Akshaya Patra Foundation his Grace Madhu Pandit Dasa, presided over the function. In His address, he revealed the importance of the festival. And expressed his displeasure about the present young generation following the western lifestyle and culture.

President of the Bunts Alias Nadavara Mathru Sangha K Ajith Kumar Rai Maladi graced the occasion as the chief guest and Flagged off the Ratha Yatra Procession. S D Biradhar and M Ravindra Shet, were the Guests of Honour. Tathva Darshan Prabhu, Abhiram Prabhu were present on the dais.

Stoka Krishna Prabhu welcomed and Rajeev Lochan Dasa delivered the Vote of Thanks.

President of ISKCON Mangaluru Unit Karunyasagar Dasa Compeered the programme.

The majestically decorated and illuminated spectacular chariot carrying Shri Krishna Balarama Idols moved in the main streets of the City and culminated at the C V Nayak Hall Kadri.

Thousands of Devotees participated in the procession throughout the Yatra route dancing and chanting “Hare Krishna Hare Rama” Keerthans and Received the Prasadam. Devotees from the States of Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Maharastra and Andhra Pradesh also participated in this Grand colourful programme.
