Jamiyattul Falah and D.K. Education dept. hold Teachers Meet to enhance SSLC results in Minority Community Students

Jamiyattul Falah (Unity for Success), a state government award-winning charity organization in association with D.K. Zillah Panchayat Public Education Department conducted Teachers Meet with Dakshina Kannada district schools to improve and enhance the result in forthcoming SSLC board examination on Monday, December 17 from 9:30 am at the Jamiyyatul Falah Headquarters Auditorium, near Rahmaniya Masjid, Kankanady.

The event started with the rhyme recital by Hamza Mittur. JF D.K. & Udupi district President Shahul Hameed K.K. inaugurated the programme and also welcomed the large gathering. He stressed on giving priority to improving SSLC results, especially among the backward class by giving utmost importance to studies and convince the students who are studying in SSLC to give priority to the final exams keeping aside other activities in order to perform well in the preparatory and final exams. A total of 203 teachers from 104 schools were present for the meeting.

Deputy Director of Public Instruction (DDPI) Sivaramayya illustrated the pass percentage of minority students with some statistics and informed all the teachers to get charged to bring good results in D.K. Teachers of various schools spoke on the occasion and expressed shortcomings in some areas that needed to be improved.

Many teachers gave their opinion on how to improve the upcoming SSLC results. JFCC Treasurer Ibrahim Kodijal, General Secretary Saleem Handel, V.P. Abu Mohammed, Administrator Shameer Ahmed Kudroli and JFCC executive members were present to witness the beneficial programme.

Following are the concerns related to the Muslim minority students from some of the teachers. They are: (a) Postponement of madrassa exam timing so that the students get more time for their school exams studies, (b) Avoid the floodlight matches and tournaments which sometimes end up at 1:00 am during the time of examinations or three months prior to the examination date. (c) Avoid SSLC students’ involvement from religious activities which end up late at night. (d) Imam (masjid head) of each Jamath (vicinity) shall take the initiative and encourage the students to concentrate on their studies for better results and last but not least, each school teacher must give special attention to the poor in studies minority students so that they can get good grades in the upcoming SSLC Exams.

Towards the end, suggestions were taken from the teachers to improve the weak areas and get better results.

Jamiyyatul Falah has provided such a platform to improve and encourage the backward minority students to enhance the results. This initiative was well appreciated by the district education department. Jamiyyatul Falah was also praised for their contribution in the field of education and health sector.

Mohammed Haneef compered the programme and Saleem Handel delivered the vote of thanks.
