Furthermore, he urged the responsible integration of Artificial Intelligence and technology into education for the betterment of both learning and humanity.

The seminar sessions delved into the deeper meaning and mission of Jesuit education, prompting introspection and a renewed sense of purpose among the participants. Through presentations, discussions, and reflective activities, teachers were encouraged to examine their personal vision as educators, identify their strengths, acknowledge areas for improvement, and address the challenges inherent in their profession. It was emphasized that teaching is not merely an occupation but a vocation demanding clarity of purpose, commitment, and self-awareness. Participants explored the critical link between a thriving institution and the collaborative spirit between teachers and management, working in unison towards a common vision and shared values. The session underscored the necessity of motivation, teamwork, commitment, job satisfaction, and a strong sense of belonging within the institution.
A significant portion of the seminar was dedicated to the characteristics of Jesuit education, introducing teachers to the educational vision of St. Ignatius of Loyola and the longstanding Jesuit tradition of holistic education. Key characteristics of Jesuit education highlighted during the seminar included: holistic formation of every individual, person-oriented education, value-based and faith-inspired learning, building a just society, participation and collaboration, the pursuit of excellence (“Magis”), inclusive leadership and teamwork, and adapting education to changing times and realities.

The Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm, encompassing Context, Experience, Reflection, Action, and Evaluation, was also explored. Staff members gained a deeper understanding of the importance of reflection-based learning and the need to develop students who not only excel academically but also become “men and women for others.”

The sessions served as an inspiration for participants to continue the Jesuit mission of education with renewed zeal, dedication, and a spirit of service, reinforcing the idea that education must not only impart knowledge but also transform lives and society for the greater glory of God.

The seminar concluded with an engaging and interactive quiz session led by Fr. Brian Pereira SJ, centered on the life of St. Ignatius of Loyola. The quiz provided a journey through the inspiring life and mission of St. Ignatius, imparting valuable facts about significant places associated with his life, the global growth of Jesuit institutions, and the overarching vision of Jesuit education.

The session was both lively and informative, contributing to a deeper understanding of the Ignatian spirit and Jesuit heritage. Overall, the seminar proved to be a meaningful experience of learning, reflection, and inspiration for all staff members in attendance, reinforcing their commitment to the Jesuit mission of education.
