Kadri Traffic Police take Young Couple into Custody while Attempting to Flee
Mangaluru: The Kadri Traffic police succeeded in arresting a couple who failed to stop the car for tinted glass at Pumpwell on August 25.
According to the police, on August 25, afternoon the traffic police on duty while checking the vehicles noticed a tinted car bearing number KL 14 P 4758 at Pumpwell. When they tried to stop the car, the driver instead of stopping sped away giving a tough time to the traffic police. As the car drove away towards Balmatta, the traffic police at all the points in the city were informed. The traffic police at Balmatta again tried to stop the car but the driver fled towards Jyothi, Bunts Hostel and Kadri Kambla. As soon as the information reached the Kadri police, the road was blocked near KPT and the police succeeded in arresting the driver.
During investigations, the driver said that he had borrowed his friend’s car and did not have a driver’s license so was afraid to stop the car. Since his girlfriend was also in the car he tried to flee from the police.
Kadri traffic police have registered a case and are investigating.
