Kamalashile Incident: Deer Collision Leads to Fatal Motorcycle Accident

Kundapur: A somber incident unfolded in the Tarekodlu area near Kamalashile on Saturday afternoon, resulting in the death of a young man and critical injuries to another. The tragedy occurred when a deer unexpectedly collided with a motorcycle carrying the two individuals, causing the vehicle to overturn and leading to severe consequences.

The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Shreyas Mogaveera, a resident of the Kavradi vicinity. His companion, Vignesh, who was riding as a pillion passenger and hails from Kavradi Paduvaltur, sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving medical attention at a private hospital in Kundapura.

According to preliminary reports from law enforcement officials, Shreyas and Vignesh were returning from the revered Durgaparameshwari Temple in Kamalashile, where they had offered prayers earlier in the day. As they traversed the Tarekodlu area, a deer abruptly leaped into their path, making contact with their motorcycle. The sudden impact caused Shreyas to lose control of the vehicle, which veered off the road and overturned.

The motorcycle sustained extensive damage in the accident, indicating the severity of the collision. Tragically, the deer also perished at the scene due to the impact.

Officers from the Shankaranarayana police station promptly responded to the scene following reports of the incident. A thorough inspection of the area was conducted, and a formal case has been registered to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident. The police are currently gathering additional information to determine the sequence of events that led to this unfortunate incident.
