Karnataka Social Club-Bahrain Hosts Resplendent Easter Celebration

Manama, Bahrain: The Karnataka Social Club-Bahrain (KSCB) marked Easter with a grand celebration on Thursday, April 9th, offering a vibrant and memorable evening for its members. The annual Easter function was characterized by traditional observances, captivating performances, and lively community engagement..

The festivities commenced with a traditional Easter Parade, effectively establishing a celebratory atmosphere from the outset. Members participated enthusiastically, setting a joyous tone for the rest of the evening.

Following the parade, the assembled audience enjoyed spirited dance performances presented by the children of KSCB members. These three meticulously choreographed dances resulted from the combined efforts of Preetam Archarya, a prominent figure in Bahrain’s dance community, and Annora D’Mello, a rising young talent demonstrating considerable promise in choreography. The performances received enthusiastic applause and appreciation.

Continuing the Easter tradition, Mr. Cletus Rodrigues, President of the Karnataka Social Club, presided over the distribution of Easter eggs to the members. This gesture of goodwill followed a series of engaging dance activities organized by Ms. Freeda Sequeira, a well-known and active member of the club.

A particularly engaging activity of the evening was a game entitled “Recognizing Animal Sounds.” Each participant received a slip of paper indicating a specific animal sound. The objective was to locate other “family members” by vocalizing the designated sound, creating a spirited and energetic atmosphere throughout the venue.

Adding to the excitement, Mr. Bertram Rego, renowned for his expertise in hosting, conducted a series of spot prizes and a novelty dance competition. Two fortunate members received attractive gifts for their participation and enthusiasm.

The entertainment continued with two sessions of fast-paced contemporary music, offered before dinner. The performances proved highly popular, prompting enthusiastic calls for an encore from the appreciative audience.

Following the entertainment segment, members enjoyed a delicious dinner. The floor was then opened for a session of Bollywood hits and the ever-popular Konkani Baila, encouraging further participation and camaraderie among the attendees.

The function concluded after midnight, with members departing after a fun-filled Easter party, carrying with them fond memories of the vibrant celebration hosted by the Karnataka Social Club Bahrain. The event served as a testament to the club’s commitment to fostering community spirit and celebrating cultural traditions.
