Kasaragod: A speeding mini-lorry knocked down 3-year-old child walking by the side of the road with her aunt near Pallikere in the district on Wednesday evening,

Fatimat Shazia, daughter of Abdul Qader, employed in the Middle East, was returning home with here father’s sister, after attending a programme in a nearby school.
The driver of the lorry did not stop after the mishap. But some members of the public immediately gave him a hot chase and caught hold of him. He has been identified at Abdul Kareem (34). He was handed over to the police.
