Kaup TMC to be developed with Rs 120 Crore – Vinay Kumar Sorake

Udupi: Urban Development Minister and district minister in-charge Vinay Kumar Sorake said on Monday March 7 that Rs 120 crore will be spent for development works to be taken up in Kaup Town Municipality Corporation limits.

He was speaking after distributing various schemes to beneficiaries at the Kaup Town Municipality Corporation premises.
A project of Rs 64 crore has been sanctioned to provide drinking water facility in Kaup TMC limits and work will start soon. Rs. 34 crore would be spent on constructing underground drainage system and installing a water purification facility in the region. 10 Acre land has been identified in Yelloor for garbage disposal. A Garbage disposal and waste management unit will start operation at a cost of Rs 8.5 crore. The state government has already sanctioned Rs 5 crore for the unit. Government has sanctioned Rs 5 crore for the development of six Rudrabhoomi and also sanctioned Rs 5 crore for the development of lakes and parks, he added.

The minister inaugurated various roads, and distributed various schemes to the minority community under the Ganga Kalyana and social security scheme.

Dr Deviprasad Shetty, Divakar Shetty, Sarasu Bangera, Sudhama Shetty, Naveenchandra Shetty, Vinay Ballal, Subramanya Shetty, Sathish Shetty, Mohini Shetty, Gulshan Begam, V Prasanna, Krishna Hebsoor were present .
Kaup Town Municipal Corporation development officer Mable D’Souza welcomed. Deputy Thashildar Shoukathulla Asadi delivered vote of thanks.
