KMC Hospital to Offer Free Geriatric Consultations from October 5 to 10
Mangaluru: The Department of Geriatric Medicine, KMC Hospital, Attavar, will organise a week-long free geriatric consultation programme from October 5 to 10 in connection with the International Day of Older Persons (IDOP).
Held as part of Older Adults Week, the initiative aims to promote healthy ageing, preventive healthcare, and greater awareness of comprehensive healthcare for older adults.
As part of the programme, senior citizens aged 60 and above can receive free geriatric consultations from October 5 to 10, between 9 a.m. and noon, at KMC Hospital, Attavar, Mangaluru.
Geriatric Medicine focuses on the comprehensive healthcare needs of older adults, addressing not only individual medical conditions but also their physical, functional, and social well-being. Regular health assessments and timely medical intervention can help detect health concerns early, promote independence, and improve quality of life.
The Department of Geriatric Medicine has invited senior citizens aged 60 and above to use this initiative and take a step toward healthier ageing.
