Konkan Yuva’s “Yuva Olympics 2025” Set to Commence in Dubai in Two Days

Konkan Yuva’s “Yuva Olympics 2025” Set to Commence in Dubai in Two Days

DUBAI, UAE: The Konkani Community of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Dubai, is preparing for the inaugural Yuva Olympics 2025, a large-scale community sports and cultural event organized by Konkan Yuva, its youth wing. The event is scheduled for Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Springdales School, Al Quoz, Dubai.

Under the banner of “Together We Play, Together We Rise,” the Yuva Olympics 2025 aims to unite the UAE’s Konkani diaspora through a day filled with athletic competition, cultural expression, and community celebration.

The Community Showdown
More than 500 participants, representing 18 registered teams, will engage in a series of Olympic-style events. The competitions include track races, relay races, long jump, shot put, tug of war, and a CrossFit obstacle race challenge. These events are designed to showcase the community’s athletic abilities and foster team spirit within a competitive environment.

The participating teams are: TEAM SPARTANS, FLYWAY UNITED, MANGALORE DRAGONS, DXB KUDLA, UNITED ELITES, LEYTON SHIPPING TEAM AB, TWIGS SUPER STRIKERS, FALCON TRACKERS, MATTIKATTE UNITED, AMIGO’S FAMILIA, UDUPI FRIENDS, PLANET AIR, MOGARNAD FRIENDS, TEAM TERMINATORS, GLOBELINK WEST STAR SHIPPING, GOOGLY’S, KARWAR DIOCESE DUBAI COMMUNITY, UNITED LORETTO FRIENDS, and OUR OWN CLUSTER.

A Cultural Celebration
The Yuva Olympics 2025 extends beyond sports, offering a day-long celebration of Konkani culture and community spirit. The event will commence with a Grand March Past featuring all 18 teams, accompanied by the Konkan Taaram Brass Band. MC Vernon and MC Roshan will host the day’s festivities, with music provided by DJ Norman and DJ Avil.

The Official Yuva Olympics Theme Song has already gained popularity on social media, serving as an anthem of unity for the Konkani youth. Attendees can also anticipate traditional Baila dancing, interactive spot games, and Housie.

Culinary Offerings and Sponsors
Food and refreshments will be available throughout the day, with Udupi Restaurant LLC serving as the Main Restaurant Partner and Coastal Delicacies Restaurant managing the Chats & Momo’s Stall.

The event is supported by sponsors, including Main Sponsor Globelink Westar Shipping and Co-Sponsor MIKA Exhibitions & Events.
