Kundapur Police arrest Two for threatening ASHA Worker

Kundpaur: The Kundapur Town police have arrested two persons for threatening an ASHA worker on Monday, April 27.

The arrested have been identified as Sandeep Mestha alias Vickky Mestha a resdient of Muddugudde and Mahesh Kharvi a resdient of Kharvi Keri, Kundapura.

According to the police, Sandeep Mestha had returned to his native place from Bengaluru on April 2. Asha worker Laxmi C asked Sandeep to follow the quarantine norms and stay at home for 28 days. But when the Asha worker found him to be moving around, she again requested him to follow the home quarantine guidelines. On April 24 Asha worker Laxmi was obstructed and prevented from discharging her duties by Sandeep and Mahesh.

An FIR has been registered in the Kundapur Town Police Station under sections 341 353 354 506 269 270 188 of IPC and also under section 51 IPC The Disaster Management Act.
