Kundapur Rural Police SI Nasir Hussain Dies of Heart Attack

Udupi: Nasir Hussain (59), Sub-Inspector at the Kundapur Rural Police Station, passed away following a heart attack on Sunday.

The Police Department had organized a 5-km marathon titled “Namma Police Namma Hemme – Fitness for All, Drug-Free Karnataka and Cyber Awareness” at Ajjarkadu Grounds in Udupi on Sunday morning. Hundreds of police personnel, including SI Nasir Hussain, participated in the event.

During the marathon, he reportedly collapsed and was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

A native of Mudigere in Chikkamagaluru district, Nasir had earlier served as Station House Officer at several police stations under the Kundapur subdivision, including Amasebail, Kundapur, Byndoor, Kollur, and Shankaranarayana. At the time of his demise, he was serving at the Kundapur Rural (Kandluru) Police Station.

Before joining the police department, Nasir Hussain had served in the Indian Army. Known for his approachable and people-friendly nature, he had earned appreciation from the public at all the stations where he served.
