Kundapur: Three Arrested in Connection with Attempted Murder and Assault Case
Kundapur: Police have apprehended three individuals suspected of involvement in separate cases of attempted murder and assault within the Gangolli and Kollur police station jurisdictions. The arrested suspects are Karthik Acharya, 24, and Vishnu Shetty, 26, both residents of Iduru-Kunjnadi village, along with Pradeep Poojary, 28, from Aluru village, who is implicated in the Gangolli police station case. All three have been taken into custody and presented before the court.
The Gangolli police station case stems from an incident on June 2nd, where Pradeep Poojary and accomplices boarded the Jayadurga bus at the Hoyigehar bus stop. According to reports, they assaulted the conductor, identified as Ganesh, by grabbing his shirt collar, striking him, and kicking him. The suspects also allegedly stole approximately Rs. 15,700 from Ganesh and issued death threats.
The Kollur police station case concerns an incident that occurred on the night of June 2nd. Sudheer, after disembarking from a bus at the Iduru-Kunjnadi village bus stop was allegedly attacked by Karthik, Vishnu, and Rakshit. The suspects reportedly verbally abused Sudheer before physically assaulting him, grabbing him by the neck, and attempting to strangle him. A case has been registered with the Kollur police regarding this incident.
