Madikeri Drenched in Rain as Other Districts Seethed in Heat!
Madikeri: As the neighbouring districts like Dakshina Kannada, with its headquarters at Mangaluru situated barely 140 kms from here, seethed in scorching heat, this hill-top town had steady rains on Tuesday.
Beginning at 3-30 pm, the rains continued until late evening. Reports said that some parts had rained in the night also.
Most citizens were taken by surprise. Stray showers are likely to continue for a few days. But the arrival of monsoons is quite far away, apparently.
