Man Assaulted by Bajrang Dal Activists
Beltangady: A 31-year-old man has been injured after he was attacked by a group at Dharmasthala here on August 2.
The injured has been identified as Chandrakanth (31), a resident of Manjithil, Dharmasthala.
According to sources, Bajrang Dal leader Bhasker along with other members attacked Chnadrakanth when he was playing Volleyball on the ground. Chnadrakanth was assaulted with iron rods, knife and wooden clubs. Chandrakanth being severely injured has been admitted to the Government hospital in Belthangady.
It is alleged that a youth was sending SMS messages to Chandrakanth’s cousin, in this regard the family members of the girl filed a case in the Dharmasthala police station four days ago. The police called the youth and warned him not to send messages to the girl and also took an undertaking from him.
It is suspected that the assault was also related to the case.
So….one Bhaskara and his jobless friends assault one Chandrakantha over some incident involving a girl. And, the entire episode is reported as an ‘assault by Bhajaranga dala activists’!!! Did Bhajaranaga Dala claim responsibility for this attack? Did these goons shout ‘Jai Bhajaranga bali’ as they attacked victim? Well, we all know the answer.
Now, compare this incident to daily ‘peaceful’ incidents where attackers and their organizations clearly claim responsibility for the attacks citing clear religious references. Still, we were all repeatedly told by the geniuses to ignore all the facts and look other way!! What a great society we live in!!!!
