Man Attacks Wife and Relative with Acid in Uppinangady
Mangaluru: In a shocking incident a man attacked his wife and relative with acid at Nelyadi, Uppinangady here, on September 24.
According to the police, on September 24, Shiny and Zancy were on their way to the rubber farm for rubber tapping. As they reached near Pandibettu, Shiny’s husband Biju Thomas attacked both of them with acid.
Both Shiny and Zancy were injured in the incident and have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. The Puttur Rural Circle Inspector reached the hospital and took the statement from both the victims. It is learnt that there was a misunderstanding between Biju Thomas and Shiny, which led to the attack.
A case has been registered in Puttur Rural police station, and investigation is on.
