Mangalore: Atlantic Data Bureau Services (ADBS)- a private limited company based in Mangalore which started its journey back in 2005 with a vision of pioneering business through innovation and technology, and until now which was operating from Mahaveer Circle, Mangalore moved to a large and spacious 21000 sq ft location at Kannur, NH 48/75 Mangalore/Bangalore Road on February 1, 2013, which was marked by a grand inaugural ceremony amidst well-wishers and friends.
The building was inaugurated by cutting the ribbon and lighting of the traditional lamp by Chief Guest Ian Felton ( British Deputy High Commissioner -based in Bangalore); and Guests of Honours namely Mohammed Ameen ( President-Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and Rev Fr Denzil Lobo ( Director- AIMIT, St Aloysius College, Beeri, Mangalore), along with Mark Follett ( Managing Director-ADBS UK and Mangalore) and Deepak Sharma ( Director-ADBS, Mangalore).
In his welcome address Mark Follett said, ” Mangalore is a great place with very intelligent and IT knowledgeable people, having good and strong moral and family values. These young intellectual people have provided professional service and support to over 13000 companies in the UK, thereby helping me immensely in building my business. My employees have made me proud for which I am very grateful. The relationship between UK and Mangalore has grown strong in the past and will continue to be much stronger in the years to come. I chose Mangalore over Bangalore, because I felt that this educational hub has much more to offer, and I am glad that I made the right decision.”
Chief Guest Ian Felton in his speech said, “I am delighted to be back in Mangalore, a very picturesque coastal town. I glad to note that the relationship between UK and India is growing strong, and the British Prime Minister wants to create a steady partnership between UK and India. UK is open for business with India, and the British government has increased visas for Indians to UK, even for those who are are seeking temporary jobs in UK. UK is delighted to be associated with India, and we are trying hard to develop better and close relationship with India through education, business, IT and other sectors. Rev Fr Denzil Lobo in his speech said that he is really overwhelmed to note that many students who had their education at St Aloysius college are serving in various top IT sectors in the nation and the world, and not to forget that some are even employed at ADBS. He further said that India is a supply of good and energetic human resources to the world, and that’s a compliment. He wished the management of ADBS all success and better prospects in the coming years.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Vishwas Kamath, who also compered the event very professionally. Pixellabs and Vision Event Management team handled the whole inaugural proceedings very systematically.

Mark Follett is the founder and CEO of both Atlantic Data Ltd. UK and Atlantic Data Bureau Services Pvt. Ltd. Mangalore. After graduating Follett spent several years in the City of London within the financial sector at GPS Plc. before entering the family?s Nursing Home group as Head of Operations. After ten years in the family business Follett decided to follow a passion for aviation and became a Commercial Airline Pilot but found he could not ignore the family entrepreneurial spirit gained in earlier years and in 2001 Follett decided to create a Web based IT company – Atlantic Data ? UK born from an opportunity within the then emerging Internet Market. Follett first visited Mangalore in the early 2000 and has been a close associate of Mr Alex Vas, CEO of Davlin Software Pt. Ltd. subsequently founded Atlantic Data Mangalore.

Deepak Sharma is the Co-founder of Atlantic Data Bureau Services Pvt. Ltd. Mangalore. He did his graduation and Post-Graduation in Mangalore. Started his career in 1998 and has 14 years of IT experience such as development, systems, design, project management. Has worked for various companies in Mangalore like Vasnet Communications and Davlin Software Pvt. Ltd. between 1998 and 2002. Was the Head of IT for Frontier International, Japan from 2002-2003 and was responsible for end to end IT infrastructure for the company. He joined Atlantic Data UK as the Head of IT in 2003 and then subsequently founded Atlantic Data Mangalore in 2005 with Mark Follett. Currently the Director of Atlantic Data Mangalore and is responsible for all IT operations and BPO activities of Atlantic Data.
