Mangaluru: 15-year-old Student Ibrahim Khaleel Dies on Spot as Tempo and Bike Collide at Kinya

Mangaluru: Ibrahim Khaleel (15), son of Abubaqer of Ajjinadka in Someshwar Uchila, died on the spot after a Tempo vehicle knocked down a bike near Kinya on the outskirts on Monday afternoon.

He was pillion-riding with a relative, Suhail Sadiq, on their way from Uchila to Deralakatte. The Tempo vehicle is said to have collided head-on with the bike as they reached Kinya. Khaleel was thrown to the road and reportedly died on the spot.

Suhail Sadiq, who was riding the bike, has also been injured and was hospitalized in Thokkottu.

Khaleel was a brilliant student of SSLC in Falah English-medium School in Kinya, according to his teachers. He is survived by parents and a sister. His final rites were held in Al Mubarak Juma mosque at K C Road.

A case has been registered against Girish, the driver of the Tempo vehicle in Ullal police station.
