Mangaluru: BJP Largest Party in the World with Over 10 Crore Members – Pratap Simha Nayak

Mangaluru: District BJP President Prathap Simha Nayak held a press meet at the BJP office, Kodialbail here on June 9.

Speaking to the mediapersons, Prathap Simha Nayak said, “In the entire country, the BJP has more than 10 crore members and is the largest political party in the world. Our membership drive will take place in three stages. First, the interested persons should give a miss call; in the second stage, party volunteers will visit the members who had given the miss call and make them permanent members. In the third stage, the members will be invited for a workshop and will be given responsibilities.”

He said that due to the Gram Panchayat elections, the membership drive had to be postponed. “In Dakshina Kannada, we have received 2,27,000 miss calls for membership. In the second stage, we will go to the houses and register the names. Our aim is to bring awareness among the people who had voted for the BJP in the Gram Panchayat elections.”

The BJP led central government has completed one year bringing many development projects for the people. The Modi’s Government has initiated ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ scheme to save the girl chid.

Workshops will be held in 48 ‘Shakti’ centers and 2 members from every booth will attend the workshop. The inauguration of the workshop will be held on June 16. At the constituency level, workshops will be held on June 19 and 20. The first round of the campaign will start from June 23 and will go on until July 6. Members will go from door-to-door and explain all the development work done by the BJP union government in one year. The volunteers will spend about 30 minutes with new members and brief them about the party, he added.

Pratap Simha Nayak also said that the purpose of this campaign is to connect party workers and enlighten them about the party’s ideology and the functioning of the Union Government at the centre. “The party workers will be informed about the achievements and various development measures initiated by the Union Government for the welfare of the citizens of the country.”

Former District Minister in-charge J Krishna Palemar, BJP leaders Vijay Kumar, Vikas Puttur, Santosh Shetty Tallur, Sunjay Prabhu and others were also present.
