Mangaluru: The CAMPCO Ltd in association with Arecanut Research and Development Foundation (R), Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology, Vivekananda Polytechnic Puttur is organizing the Agri Machinery Fair III 2015 at Puttur, said the chairman of the CAMPCO Ltd KonkodiPadmanabh in a press meet held at the office premises here on January 22.
Addressing the mediapersons Padmanabh said that we have arranged 240 stalls for the fair which are ready for occupation. There is a demand for more stalls which will be put up soon. We are expecting a participation of around 4 Lakhpeople out of which 1.5 lakh people are from the Self help group Dharmasthala.
Giant Cooperatives such as TSS, MAMCOS, TUMCOS will bring farmers from various parts of the state. CAMPCO Regional Offices situated in Mangaluru,Puttur, Kasaragod, Shivamogga, Sirsi and Tumkur have contacted farmers to attend the fair and they have consented to take part in the fair.
Specialized machines from Coimbatore Central Agricultural Engineering, Hassan Agriculture Department and Thrissur Agriculture Department will be exhibited during the fair. The engineering students will exhibit 45 machines to qualify for the Varanashi Subraya Bhat Award. A ‘Kissan Samsad’ will be held for the farmers with the ministers and already 1000 farmers have been registered for the same. Former CM Yeddyurappa will be attending the programme.
Postal Cover with a photograph of Founder President of CAMPCO VaranashiSubraya Bhat will be released on the occasion. Directory with the information of various machines will also be released. Journalism students will release “Vikasana Patrike”. All the participants will be allowed to visit the CAMPCO chocolate factory on all the three days of fair. Chocolates will be sold at discounted rate of 40% at the stalls. Separate food court will be opened for the participants and meals will be available at the cost of Rs 10.
Vice president of CAMPCO K Satheeshchandra Bhandary, Managing director Suresh Bhandary and President of Vivekananda Polytechnic Puttur Prof A V Narayan were also present.
