Mangaluru Chalo will Disturb Peace in District, should be Banned – SDPI
Mangaluru: “The Mangaluru Chalo bike rally organized by the BJP Yuva Morcha on September 7 will disturb the peace in the district because people from outside district will come to Mangaluru. Already we have experienced section 144 for two months in the District. Now the situation is normal and due to such rallies, we do not want the peace in the district to be disturbed. The district administration and the police department should not give permission to Mangaluru Chalo bike rally”, said the president of District SFPI Haneef Khan Kodaje in a press meet held at Hotel Woodland here on September 2.
Addressing the mediapersons Haneef said, “The BJP Yuva Morcha is holding the Bike rally not to ban the SDPI or PFI but to create communal disturbance in the district. PFI is a national organization. If they really want to ban SDPI and PFI let them appeal to the centre to ban it. Their second demand is the resignation of Minister Ramanath Rai. Since the BJP is ruling at the centre, let the BJP ministers put pressure on the central government Ramanath Rai’s resignation. The BJP Yuva Morcha is holding this bike rally for vote bank in the forthcoming assembly elections.”
Haneef further said, “The BJP does not have any agenda to place before the people. If they have done any development work they would have highlighted it, the BJP could have even highlighted the failures of Congress government in the forthcoming elections. We request the police department and the district administration to ban the bike rally so that the peace will prevail in the district.”
