Mangaluru: Flower Vendor Prashant Murder case, Prime Witness Allegedly Commits Suicide

Mangaluru: A prime witness in the flower vendor Prashant Poojary murder case has allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in the shed of his house, at Moodbidri here on October 15.

The deceased has been identified as Vaman Poojary (55), a resident of Moodbidri, a tender coconut vendor who was running his shop opposite to Prashant’s shop.

According to police, on October 15, afternoon, Vaman was missing from his shop. Other shop vendors searched for Vaman but could not trace him. In the evening, Vaman was found hanging in the shed of his house.

When Prashant was murdered, Vaman was present in his shop, he was the prime witness in Prashant’s murder case. Locals who found him hanging in the shed, informed the Moodbidri police. The police reached the spot, lowered the body and sent it for post-mortem.

A case has been registered in the Moodbidri police station.
