Mangaluru: Former international cricketer and captain of the Indian cricket team, a right-arm leg spin bowler, Anil Radhakrishna Kumble visited Nehru Maidan for the selection of the cricket team from Mangaluru here, on January 9.
Mayor Mahabala Marla welcomed Kumble with a floral bouquet.
So far 2800 persons from Karnataka have registered of which 2000 are from Bengaluru, 200 from Mangaluru and 600 from Hubli. The final selection will be held at Bengaluru on January 18. From Mangaluru, 10 persons will be selected.
