Mangaluru: On Sunday, January 17, 2016 a group of 22 cyclists from Mangalore Bicycle club rode a distance of 100 kms achieving 100 KM League 2016 certificate and League badge. This is for the first time in Mangalore that these many number of cyclists riding in a group to achieve this milestone of 200 Kms. We started our ride from Lady Hill Circle at 5.00 AM and concluded at Kottara Chowki at 12.30 PM covering Padubidri and Udyavara.
14 riders touching 100 KM milestone for the first time in their cycling life, and 6 few doing it for the first time in calender year 2016 and a couple of them doing their Hat-trick 100 KM in past 3 days! We were honoured to receive the 100 KM League 2016 certificate from Mr. HU from China, who is on a cycling expedition for past 4 months covering 5000+ kms.. This was a moment of Joy for all the riders.
This is part of yet another initiative from Mangalore Bicycle Club i.e. 100 KM League 2016 and 200 KM League 2016 for the calendar year. At Mangalore Bicycle Club we believe long rides help riders build endurance and through these leagues our club tries to motivate every rider to scale up their riding capabilities. Any riders completing their 100 KM or 200 KM milestone any time during the calendar year will be awarded with a league badge and certificate from our club. So riders, who missed out on January 17th can still achieve it any time during the year to be awarded with their certificate and badge.

200KM League will be launched on Feb 07, 2016 and we will be having 15+ riders participating for the same.
