Mangaluru: Monkey Stand Resident Creates Rumpus in Liquor Shop, Arrested

Mangaluru: Vijay (28), a resident of Monkey Stand locality, was arrested by the Pandeshwar police for trespass into a liquor shop at Marnamikatta and creating nuisance.

He is among a group of eight including one Abhi who were involved in the act. The group arrived at the shop and asked for some beer as takeaway. Jagadish, the cashier, asked them to pay for it.

They are said to have abused him, flashed a knife at him and told him that in fact he owed them money. They also snatched the beer bottles from him and walked away. Before leaving, they warned that, if any complaint was filed, once they came out of the jail they would murder him.

A case has been registered by the police, who said that Vijay was one of the accused in the murder of Bijai Raja.
